Close pressure cooking lid and move valve to "seal" position.
Pressure cook on high for 30 minutes.
When timer beeps, naturally release pressure for 10 minutes. Do so by doing nothing! :) . Just leave your pot on and allow timer to count up to 10 minutes. Once the Ninja Foodi has naturally released for 10 minutes, move valve to "venting" position and quick release remaining pressure.
Open Ninja Foodi lid and stir. The black eyed peas and ham will continue to thicken as it cools and some of the liquid continues to evaporate.
It's time to eat!
If you would like to have a thicker mixture, use 4 cups of chicken broth. For more of a soup texture, use 6-7 cups of chicken broth. I personally think that 5 cups of broth is just the right amount. Adjust based on your liking! :)
