Place trivet, egg rack, or steamer basket into the Instant Pot.
Pour in 1.5 cups of cold water. Do not use hot water.
Place the eggs into the Instant Pot, on the trivet. You can stack the eggs on top of each other. Use as many eggs as you would like but do not stack the eggs so high that they reach the max fill line in the pot.
Close the lid and move the valve to the seal position.
Pressure cook on high pressure for 5 minutes. If your Instant Pot has the egg button, you can push that instead of setting to 5 minutes.
Once the pressure cook time has finished, naturally release the pressure for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, quick release the remaining pressure and then remove the lid.
Using tongs, remove the eggs from the Instant Pot and place in a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes.
Your hard boiled eggs are done! Peel and serve!

Notes
How to store hard boiled eggs?Hard boiled eggs can be stored in the fridge with or without their shells on them. The shells protect the eggs and keep them good longer, and they don't absorb the odors and flavors of foods in the refrigerator as much as peeled eggs do. Store peeled eggs in a seal tight container or ziplock bag to keep them fresh longer. Hard boiled eggs should last about a week in the refrigerator. Can you Instant Pot fresh eggs?Fresh eggs and store-bought eggs cook differently. The 5-5-5 method works great for store-bought eggs. The method that seems to work the best for farm fresh eggs is pressure cooking on high pressure for 4 minutes and then quick releasing all pressure. Remove the eggs and place in an ice bath until cool enough to peel.
