Pour the milk, allulose, pudding mix, and cake batter flavor oil into a small blender and blend until all ingredients are fully combined. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami container.
Freeze on a level surface for 24 hours. Your freezer should be between 9 and -7 degrees Fahrenheit.
Process the Ice Cream
After 24 hours, remove the Ninja Creami container from the freezer. If there is a large bump in the ice cream, melt or scrape the large bump so that the top is level.
Place the Ninja Creami container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami and then process on "ICE CREAM."
If the ice cream is dry or crumbly looking (like sand), pour in a tablespoon or two of milk and then re-spin. If the ice cream looks more like little balls of ice cream, re-spin without adding liquid. You may have to respin a couple of times.
Notes
Is there actual cake or cake batter in the ice cream?
While some cake batter recipes use actual cake batter or cake, this recipe uses neither. Cake batter and cake both have extra calories that I was trying to avoid. Also, if using cake batter there are a couple of extra steps that need to be taken to make it safe to eat. By using Lorann’s cake batter flavor oil, you’re able to get a great cake batter flavor without the additional calories or steps.
The Lorann’s cake batter flavor oil can be found at most craft stores like Michaels, Hobby Lobby or online on Amazon or lorannoils.com.
What does cake batter ice cream taste like?
It basically tastes like a vanilla birthday cake with vanilla frosting. The flavor isn’t overwhelming but it definitely tastes like cake.
Do you need to thaw the ice cream before processing it in the Ninja Creami?
The Ninja Creami is made to process frozen solid containers of ice cream mixtures straight out of the freezer. If you are using the proper ingredients and following the instruction for the machine, you should not need to thaw the ice cream.
