¼CupCanned Sliced Peaches in Juice by Cups2-3 Slices cut in quarters-Drain the juice and reserve to pour in on re-spin if needed.
Optional
1-2TablespoonsPeach Juice-Reserved from the Peaches in the Base Recipe
Instructions
Make the Ice Cream Mixture
Pour 2 packages of peaches and cream instant oatmeal into a small bowl and add the hot water. Allow the oatmeal to set up and cool for about 10 minutes.
Once the oatmeal has cooled, pour into a small blender and add the yogurt, and whole milk. Blend until all ingredients are well combined. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container.
Freeze on a level surface for 24 hours. Your freezer should be between 9 and -7 degrees Fahrenheit.
Process the Ice Cream
After 24 hours, remove the pint container from the freezer.
There will likely be a big bump in the middle of the ice cream. To remove the bump either place a ziplock bag of hot water on the bump to melt it (for about 5 minutes) and then scrape it so the top is flat, or use a warm spoon or vegetable peeler to scrape the bump down. Place the pint container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami and then process on "Ice Cream."
If the ice cream is dry or crumbly looking (like sand), pour in a tablespoon or two of the reserved peach juice and then re-spin. If the ice cream looks like little balls of ice cream, respin without adding liquid. You may have to repeat this process a couple of times.***Only respin or add juice if the ice cream is really dry and crumbly. You will be adding peaches for the mix-ins and they already add a lot of moisture which will make the ice cream creamier.
Dig a well down the center and add the peach slices. Process on mix-ins.
Remove the pint from the machine and enjoy!

Notes
Do you have to cook the oatmeal before adding it to the ice cream base?Technically, yes. But we aren’t following the exact directions on the packaging. For the recipe, you will need to “cook” the instant oatmeal in hot water before adding it to the other base ingredients. But, instead of using ⅓ cup of water per packet, we are using ½ cup of water per package. What kind of oatmeal is being used?Quaker instant oatmeal packets (peaches and cream flavored) are used in the recipe.Do not use traditional oatmeal that needs to be cooked for this recipe. You can use any brand, just make sure it’s instant.Once combined with the hot water, the final volume of oatmeal/water mixture should be about 10-11 fluid ounces or about 1.3 cups
