I LOVE a good breakfast. My go-to is usually eggs benedict but have found myself craving biscuits and gravy. I’m not one to order it out at a restaurant, but when Luis orders it, I often find myself stealing a bite….or ten. So, we have started making it at home. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I have used the country gravy packet and added breakfast sausage to it in the past (don’t judge me!). Honestly, it’s not hard to make the gravy and I was a bit skeptical as to why anyone would need to speed up the process by cooking it in the Ninja Foodi. I gave it a go this past weekend…..and I am a believer! I wouldn’t say that it’s quicker to make the gravy in the Ninja Foodi but it comes out SO MUCH CREAMIER! I was impressed and will never make it on the stovetop again!
Tips for this Recipe:
- Buy bulk breakfast sausage from the meat counter. You can use the premade sausage links and remove the casing or the uncooked sausage patties, but the uncased bulk sausage is so much easier!
- If you like your sausage a little crispy or burnt, cook it longer in the pot before adding in the other ingredients.
- Save your extra bacon grease in a mason jar in the refrigerator. Adding the bacon fat to recipes is a great way to add flavor without changing the texture of the meal.

You can just skip it. I save all bacon fat and store it in a mason jar in the refrigerator to use later :)!!
