Not too long ago I came across a recipe in our Facebook group: Ninja Foodi Community, for something that I had never heard of before…..marshmallow sauce. I thought to myself, ummm…..yes….I’m definitely trying that!!
Let me tell you, it was so easy and so good. How the heck had I never tried this before? I mean it literally takes 2 minutes to make…if that.

I made the marshmallow sauce to dip sweet potato fries into and ended up pouring the leftovers on top of a sweet potato…..it was that good! And when I say leftovers, I mean what I didn’t already eat with a spoon, fry, finger….whatever! What else can I dip in marshmallow sauce? Oh I’m sure I’ll come up with something! Give it a try…..it just might change your life! :).
Check out our recipe for cooking sweet potatoes in the Ninja Foodi or the Instant Pot! Top with marshmallow sauce…….

Great! I hope everyone enjoyed it!

can you substitute marshmallow creme for the mini-marshmallows?
Lauren Cardona says
Hi Virginia- I have not tried to sub the marshmallows out for marshmallow cream. But, if I were to try that, I would recommend cutting back on or eliminating the cream. Add in the cream gradually, if needed. Since the marshmallow cream is already creamy, it may not need the extra cream at all.

How do I store leftover?
TheTastyTravelers says
I havenโt really had much in the way of leftovers. But, I would think that refrigerating it in a microwave safe dish and then microwaving for a few seconds when you are ready to eat the leftovers should work.

I haven’t made this yet, but I’m going to and I think I might add a splash of amaretto liqueur to it (while mixing). It’s just for me, no kids around, but it seems mad scientist worthy. Ya think?
I had one in a restaurant once and they added Frangellico (which I don’t have on hand) but it was amazing! Hazelnut / Almond.. close enough.
Lauren Cardona says
I think you’re onto something great with this idea! Just be careful with how much you add so that it doesn’t make the sauce too runny! Can’t wait to hear how it turns out!

1 Tablespoon of Cinnamon? It’s not white when when you add 1T brown sugar and 1T cinnamon….
TheTastyTravelers says
Yes, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. The marshmallows and cream make it lighter in color. If you prefer, you can add less cinnamon to start and add more based on your preference. :).

Sooo yummy! I replaced the heavy cream with vanilla almond milk due to LI. Still turned out amazing!

All I have is marshmallow fluff. Will this work as a substitute?
TheTastyTravelers says
Yes, you can use marshmallow fluff instead. You wonโt need to microwave for quite as long though. Enjoy!!
