Check out my recipe for making tender and juicy Ninja Foodi Grill Red Pepper Lime Bell Peppers!
The Ninja Foodi Smart XL Pro Grill and Griddle has a griddle attachment that works perfectly for making french toast! It’s quick, it’s easy, there’s hardly any cleanup and there’s less butter/oil used.

This recipe was made using the Ninja® Foodi® Smart XL Pro Grill & Griddle, but any griddle can be used for this recipe.
We love french toast at our house and I make it probably once or twice a month for breakfast. I usually cook it in a frying pan on the stove and I have a tendency to cook it in WAY too much butter and oil. I can never seem to get it to turn out as it does in restaurants. It’s always either too greasy or not crispy at all.
Well, last night we had breakfast for dinner and I made french toast using the griddle attachment in my Ninja Foodi Grill…and let me tell you…it was awesome! It cooked perfectly and evenly on all sides and edges and it was not greasy at all!

I used Texas toast but you can really use any type of bread that you want! The Texas toast does hold up pretty well when it is dunked in the egg mixture and it tends to keep its shape and texture a little better than thinner sliced bread.

Tips for making Ninja Foodi Grill French Toast
You can use whatever type of bread you would like. I prefer to use Texas toast because it’s a little thicker and holds up really well after being soaked in the egg mixture. But, feel free to use whatever you would like. Leftover French bread makes awesome French toast too!
Technically, no. But I HIGHLY recommend that you do so. If you don’t preheat the griddle, you will start out by cooking on a cold surface. The griddle will not properly sear and brown whatever it is cooking.
Yes. You will need to use a small amount of butter or oil to allow the French toast to brown properly and release from the griddle easily. I prefer to use butter for this recipe. The butter adds a nice flavor to the French Toast.
Bacon and eggs is my favorite dish to go along with French Toast. Fruit goes really well too. Sometimes I’ll even mix cream cheese with a little powdered sugar and some fruit, and smear that on in between the slices. Yummm! So good!
Don’t soak the bread in the egg mixture for as long. Also, reduce the amount of butter that you are cooking it in. The French toast should not be deep-fried in butter or oil, too much will make the bread soggy.
