Use fresh peaches to make protein packed frozen yogurt in the Ninja Creami ice cream maker. The Ninja Creami is a game changer and lets you take ingredients like peaches and turn them into a high protein frozen treat with a creamy texture and a whopping 39 grams of protein for the entire pint!
This recipe comes in at 358 calories, 38 grams of protein, 29 grams of sugar, 4 grams of fat, 55 carbs, 43 net carbs (total carbs-allulose) for the ENTIRE pint.. See the recipe card at the bottom of the post for all nutrition facts.
To help make your Ninja Creami treat creamy, you need to add something to help thicken it up and reduce the iciness, especially if you are making a low fat or low calorie recipe. Some of the popular options for things to add are pudding mix, premade protein shake or protein powder (usually has some sort of gum in it), cottage cheese, or yogurt. For this recipe, I used yogurt to help with the texture, but also to add a bit of tartness. The tart yogurt goes really well with the fresh peaches.

When using fresh peaches in a Ninja Creami base recipe, you don’t even have to peel the peaches! Seriously, you would never know there were peach skins in the ice cream. The Ninja Creami completely shaves them down to nothing and they become one with the rest of the ingredients!

Tips for making Ninja Creami Peaches and Cream Protein Frozen Yogurt:
Yes. You can use canned peaches. But, make sure that you drain the juice and chop the peaches up into bite-sized pieces. If you don’t drain the juice, the ice cream will not be scoopable. Instead, it will be more like soft-serve ice cream.
When fresh peaches are used in the base recipe, you don't need to peel them. The peels will get creamified and you won't even know they were there. If you are using peaches for mix-ins, you should peel them as the skins won't get broken up very much and you'll be able to see and feel them in the ice cream.
Like with any fruit, if you are adding the frozen peaches to the ice cream base, you'll need to thaw them enough to get them to blend together with the other base ingredients. If you are using frozen peaches as mix-ins, you need to completely thaw them.
There are a lot of different brands and flavors of protein available. It is not one size fits all. You have to find one that you, personally, enjoy. Things taste different and have different textures for different people.
I prefer to use an unflavored, whey, protein powder, GNC brand unflavored whey protein powder. I like unflavored because….it doesn’t have any flavor and it gives you the opportunity to add it to just about any recipe that you are making without impacting the recipe. I have found that even the flavored protein powders do not have enough flavor to be used in ice cream and you are always adding more things to kick up the flavor. So, I skip the flavored powders (usually), and add flavor to the actual ice cream base.
It depends on what your goals are and you should always consult with your doctor before changing your diet or making substitutions.
I prefer to use allulose because I don’t think it has a weird “fake sugar” taste to it. I use the granular version or the Swerve allulose blend and measure 1:1 just like it’s sugar. Allulose is very low in calories, has no glycemic effect on blood sugar, and works well in ice cream recipes. However, allulose doesn’t seem quite as sweet as regular sugar and if you add too much, the ice cream doesn’t get quite as firm.

Ingredient substitutions for Ninja Creami Peaches and Cream Protein Frozen Yogurt:

Unsweetened Almond Milk– Unsweetened almond milk was used to help keep the calories low. If you are not watching calories or don’t like almond milk, you can use 2% milk, whole milk or dairy-free coconut milk, oat milk, or cashew milk.
Peach Yogurt- Chobani zero sugar peach flavored Greek yogurt was used. Any peach yogurt should work for this recipe. I would just recommend that you taste the yogurt before making it into ice cream. If you don’t like the way it tastes before freezing, you aren’t going to like it once it’s been turned into ice cream. Just keep in mind that if the ingredients are changed, the nutritional info will also change.
Fresh Peaches-I used fresh peaches but you can use frozen or canned instead. If you use frozen peaches, make sure that you thaw them beforehand.
Allulose-Use your favorite sweetener or sugar substitute like monk fruit, Stevia, or you can even use maple syrup, honey, or agave.
Protein Powder- GNC unflavored whey protein powder was used in this recipe. You can use your favorite protein powder but but for this recipe I’d recommend using unflavored or vanilla protein powder.
Vanilla Bean Paste-If you don’t have vanilla bean paste, you can use vanilla extract. Use the same amount that is listed in the ingredients section of the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Guar Gum-Guar gum is a stabilizer/thickener. Instead of guar gum, you can use xanthan gum or any of the stabilizers listed here.
Directions for making Ninja Creami Peaches and Cream Protein Frozen Yogurt:
Directions for Making the Ice Cream Mixture

Directions for Processing the Ice Cream Mixture
- After 24 hours, remove the pint container from the freezer.
- Place the pint container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami and then process on “LITE ICE CREAM.”

- Dig a well down the center of the ice cream and pour in the chopped peaches. Process on mix-ins.

Recipes that use allulose:
Allulose is a low calorie sweetener that your body doesn't fully digest, so it provides only 0.4 calories per gram instead of 4. That's why the calorie total doesn't match what you'd expect from the carb count. Calories from allulose are calculated based on metabolized carbohydrates. Allulose contributes fewer calories than standard carbohydrates.

If you’ve been using vanilla extract in your Ninja Creami recipes and want to take the vanilla flavor up a notch, vanilla bean paste is the upgrade. Same effort, noticeably better results.
