Did somebody say it’s time for the Super Bowl? That means you need the best Ninja Creami ice cream for the Super Bowl! I present to you…Lavender Haze homemade ice cream, made in the Ninja Creami ice cream maker!
Most people think of football when they think of the Super Bowl…but this year, some people think of Taylor Swift. So, I’m bringing you my interpretation of Lavender Haze ice cream, all made in the Ninja Creami!
Yes, I know, the Super Bowl is about football, snacks, and commercials. But, this year the Super Bowl has also become about singer Taylor Swift’s love story with Kansas City Chiefs football player Travis Kelce. So, naturally, I felt the need to make ice cream named after some of Taylor Swift’s songs.

Ninja Creami Lavender Haze ice cream brings together the flavors of blueberry, lemonade, vanilla, and lavender in a thick and creamy ice cream. Oftentimes, I will cook the blueberries in my Ninja Creami recipes to bring out the sweetness, but for this recipe I was looking for more of a tart flavor. The combination of the fresh blueberries along with the tart lemonade are the perfect flavors to highlight the touch of lavender flavor in the recipe.

I don’t normally like floral flavors in my food, especially not in my ice cream. But, when I saw that Skinny Syrups makes a blueberry lavender flavor I had to try it. I’m so glad I did. The lavender flavor is not super intense but works really well with the blueberry flavor that is also in the syrup. Using it to make ice cream was risky, but so worth it. The finished ice cream is so refreshing and delicious.
***You can get the syrup on Amazon, but it’s much less expensive through Skinny Syrups TikTok shop (especially if you have a TikTok coupon).

Tips for making Ninja Creami Lavender Haze Ice Cream:
Lavender haze ice cream tastes like a subtle blueberry lemonade, with a touch of vanilla and a slight floral taste. The lavender flavor does not overwhelm the other flavors.
If you want to add more lavender flavor, you can do so by adding fresh or dried lavender to the recipe. I would recommend adding the lavender to the milk and cream and then cooking over med/low heat for a few minutes (do not boil) to help bring out the lavender flavors. Strain the lavender from the dairy mixture and then use that dairy in the ice cream base recipe. Or, you can just add more blueberry lavender syrup to make the lavender flavor stronger.
Technically, yes. But, I find that frozen blueberries can be a little stronger in flavor and they usually turn the ice cream base a deeper purple/blue color. For this recipe, I prefer to use fresh blueberries.
Yes, you can substitute the dairy and sugar to fit your dietary needs. You can use any sugar substitute that you would like, just make sure that it is a 1:1 ratio with the sugar. The milk and half and half can also be substituted. However, some substitutes like oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk, and cashew milk have a lower fat content and will likely produce ice crystals and a less creamy result.
I did not need to use the re-spin cycle for this recipe. The texture after the first spin was not smooth, but it was not sandy. Instead, it was like little balls of ice cream. I simply added the sprinkles and processed on mix-ins. I did not add any additional liquid with the mix-ins.

Ingredient substitutions for making Ninja Creami Lavender Haze Ice Cream:
The full ingredient list is found at the bottom of the post in the recipe card.

Milk– I used whole milk in this recipe. You can use a dairy substitute like unsweetened almond milk, unsweetened oat milk, or lower fat milk if you prefer but the lower the fat content, the less creamy the result will be.
Half and Half– If you don’t have half and half, you can use a mixture of ยผ heavy whipping cream and ยพ whole milk.
Sugar– White sugar was used. You can use a sugar substitute that is a 1:1 ratio.
Vanilla Bean Paste- I prefer to use vanilla bean paste because it adds a deeper vanilla flavor and I find that it tastes less like alcohol. You can substitute the vanilla bean paste with vanilla extract.
Blueberries– For this recipe, I recommend using fresh, not frozen blueberries. Fresh blueberries will provide the proper color and flavor. Frozen blueberries will make the finished ice cream a much deeper purple/blue color.
Lemonade Flavor (Mio)– I highly recommend using LEMONADE flavored liquid water enhancer. I have not tried other brands, but I would think any brand should work.
Lemon Extract– Do not use lemon juice instead of lemon extract. If you don’t have lemon extract, use a little extra lemonade flavor instead.
Blueberry Lavender Syrup (Skinny Syrup)– If you don’t have this flavor syrup, you can use another bottled lavender syrup. Just be sure to taste the mixture before freezing as different brands may vary in potency. A little goes a long way.
Blue Food Coloring (Optional)
Red Food Coloring (Optional)
Guar Gum– If you don’t have guar gum, you can use about a tablespoon of cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of vanilla instant pudding mix (reduce or omit the vanilla bean paste in the original recipe), or xanthan gum.
Lavender Sprinkles– Use your favorite purple or purple and white sprinkles.
Directions for making Ninja Creami Lavender Haze Ice Cream:
Make the Ice Cream Mixture
- Pour the milk, half and half, sugar, blueberries, vanilla bean paste, lemonade flavor, lemon extract, blueberry lavender syrup, food coloring, and guar gum into a small blender and blend until all ingredients are fully combined. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container.
- Freeze on a level surface for 24 hours. Your freezer should be between 9 and -7 degrees Fahrenheit. To avoid getting a bump on the top of the frozen mixture, freeze with the lid off of the container.

Process the Ice Cream
- After 24 hours, remove the pint container from the freezer.
- Place the pint container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami and then process on "ICE CREAM.”
- If the ice cream is dry or crumbly looking, pour in a tablespoon or two of milk and then re-spin. If the ice cream looks more like dippin dots, (little balls of ice cream), re-spin without adding liquid.
- Dig a hole in the center of the ice cream and pour in the sprinkles. Process on mix-ins.
- Your ice cream is ready to eat! Enjoy!
