Check out my favorite classic Ninja Creami ice cream recipes made with real dairy and real sugar. These are just good, old-fashioned ice cream flavors with no special diet focus, no swaps, and no compromises. If you are new to the Ninja Creami or just want dependable recipes that taste like actual creamy ice cream, this is exactly where to start.
You will find familiar favorites like chocolate chip, chocolate lovers ice cream, Butterfinger, M&M ice cream, mint chocolate chip, strawberry ice cream, frozen yogurts, and even Dole Whip style treats. These recipes are meant to be fun, nostalgic, and easy, using full-fat ingredients and sugar for the best flavor and texture. Just straightforward, creamy Ninja Creami ice cream that tastes the way ice cream is supposed to taste.

Why choose full fat, full sugar recipes when using the Ninja Creami?
A lot of people buy the Ninja Creami to make healthier ice cream at home, and that's great. But not everyone is on a health journey, and that's okay too. Sometimes you just want fun, classic flavors you can't find at the grocery store, or you want to make smaller portions of a bunch of different flavors instead of committing to a whole tub.
That's the beauty of the Ninja Creami. There's no right or wrong reason to use it. Whether you're making protein ice cream, low calorie recipes, vegan recipes, low-carb recipes, or full fat, full sugar classics, it's all about making ice cream the way you want it.
Do these Ninja Creami recipes use real dairy and sugar?
Yes. Every recipe in this collection is made with real dairy and real sugar. These are traditional ice cream recipes designed for classic flavor and creamy texture, not low calorie or diet focused versions.
If you find a recipe that you want to make but want to use a sugar substitute instead, you can. Just swap out the sugar in the recipe with your favorite sweetener that is a 1:1 ratio with sugar.
If you prefer to use a dairy substitute, you can. But, the lower the fat content of the dairy substitute, the more likely it is that the end result will be icy and not as creamy/
If you are looking for information on how to use the Ninja Creami, answers to the most commonly asked questions, be sure to check out my full post on Ninja Creami FAQs here!
Can I use these recipes in any Ninja Creami machine?
Yes! All of these recipes work in the original Ninja Creami, Deluxe, Swirl, and Breeze. All of my recipes have the option to choose 1x or 1.5x at the bottom of the posts in the actual recipe card.
Choose 1x for the 16-ounce containers that come with the Original Ninja Creami, Ninja Creami Breeze, and the Ninja Creami Swirl. Choose 1.5x for the 24-ounce containers that come with the Ninja Creami Deluxe machine.
Mix-in ideas for Ninja Creami Recipes
Fruit– You can add fruit like strawberries, peaches, blueberries, or raspberries during the mix-ins process. Be sure to cut the fruit into small pieces. I prefer to use fresh fruit as a mix-in, but you can use small pieces of frozen fruit or freeze dried fruit as a mix-in.
Chocolate and Candy– Chocolate chips, chunks, candy bars, and candy pieces add texture and familiar flavors. They're perfect for turning a simple base into something fun and nostalgic, like chocolate chip, Butterfinger, or M&M ice cream.
Cookies and Baked Goods- Cookies, brownie bites, cake pieces, and cookie dough are great for adding chewiness and making your ice cream taste like a full dessert, not just a frozen treat.
Nuts and Crunchy Things- Chopped nuts, pralines, toffee bits, and brittle add crunch and richness. They pair well with chocolate and vanilla bases and help balance sweetness with a little texture.
The flavor combinations are endless when you start adding mix-ins to protein ice cream.

Equipment
Add Food Grade Vegetable Glycerin To Make Leftover Ice Cream Scoopable Right Out of the Freezer
Per 16 ounce pint: *Add 1 Teaspoon to full fat/full sugar bases *Add 1.5 teaspoon to high protein bases *Add 2 teaspoons to low sugar/low fat lite bases. Freeze and process per the recipe. Take the leftovers out of the freezer and scoop without having to reprocess. ***This is a guideline and adjustments may be needed based on your recipe.
Original, Breeze, Swirl, and Deluxe Ingredient Measurements
Use the multiplier below to adjust quantities based on the machine that you own. ***If you have the Original, Breeze, or Swirl machine, which use 16 ounce containers, choose the 1X option. ***If you have the Deluxe or XL machine, which use 24 ounce containers, choose the 1.5X option.
Ingredients
Using a premade protein shake:
- 14-16 Fluid Ounces (118 2/7 ml) Dairy (Whole Milk)
- ½ Cup Sugar (Sugar- 1 Tablespoon-½ Cup- Add Sweetener to Taste)
- ¼ Teaspoon Stabilizer (¼ Teaspoon Guar Gum OR 2 Tablespoons Instant Pudding Mix OR 1-2 Tablespoons Cream Cheese)
- ¼ Teaspoon Flavor (¼ Teaspoon-1 Tablespoon Flavor Extract or Oil or 1-2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract or Paste)
Instructions
Prepare the Ice Cream Mixture
- Pour all ice cream base ingredients into a small blender and blend until all ingredients are fully combined. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container.
- Freeze on a level surface for 24 hours. Your freezer should be between 9 and -7 degrees Fahrenheit. To avoid getting a bump on the top of the frozen mixture, freeze with the lid off of the container.
Process the Ice Cream
- After 24 hours, remove the pint container from the freezer.
- Place the pint container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami and then process on ICE CREAM.".
- If the ice cream is dry or crumbly looking (like sand), pour in a tablespoon or two of leftover protein shake, milk, cream, juice, or water, and then re-spin. You may have to repeat this process a couple of times. If the ice cream looks like little balls of ice cream and is not overly dry, re-spin without adding additional liquid. If you plan on adding mix-ins, it's not recommended to re-spin more than once or twice as the ice cream will continue to be spun during the mix-ins process. Overspinning the ice cream or adding too much liquid during a re-spin can create a softer and less scoopable ice cream.
- If you want to add mix-ins, dig a well down the center of the ice cream and pour in the mix-ins. Process on mix-ins.
- Remove the pint from the machine and enjoy!

Recipes that use allulose:
Allulose is a low calorie sweetener that your body doesn't fully digest, so it provides only 0.4 calories per gram instead of 4. That's why the calorie total doesn't match what you'd expect from the carb count. Calories from allulose are calculated based on metabolized carbohydrates. Allulose contributes fewer calories than standard carbohydrates.

How do you use frozen fruit in the Ninja Creami?
The manual that comes with the Ninja Creami says that you cannot use frozen fruit in the machine. This can be confusing because, technically, you can use frozen fruit in the Ninja Creami.
