You do not need regular milk or heavy cream to make a good Ninja Creami pint. These dairy-free Ninja Creami recipes include simple fruit sorbets, chocolate and coffee options, Italian ice, Dole Whip, a smoothie bowl, and vegan peanut butter gelato.

Jump to:

What counts as dairy-free?

For this list, the frozen base can be made without milk, cream, cream cheese, or other dairy ingredients. Some recipes use coconut milk, oat milk, or almond milk creamer, while the fruit sorbets do not need a milk substitute at all. Always check the label on packaged ingredients because formulas can change and some mix-ins may still contain milk.

Why sorbet works so well in the Ninja Creami

Fruit already brings flavor, sweetness, and moisture to the pint, so it does not need dairy to turn into a frozen treat. Some of these recipes are as easy as freezing canned fruit, while others add citrus, sweetener, or a thickener to change the flavor and texture.

Check mix-ins and toppings

A dairy-free base can stop being dairy-free once chocolate chips, candy, or other toppings are added. Look for dairy-free chocolate and vegan candy when a recipe uses those ingredients, and check the labels on cream of coconut and non-dairy creamers before adding them to the pint.

Fruit sorbets make up a big part of this list because they are naturally easy to make without dairy. Some are very simple and let one fruit be the main focus, while others add citrus, spices, or another flavor to make the pint a little more interesting.

There are also a few recipes that feel completely different from a basic fruit sorbet. You will find richer chocolate and coffee flavors, a refreshing Italian ice, and even an adults-only frozen drink.

Dairy-free Ninja Creami recipes for sorbet, gelato, and frozen treats

There are creamier choices here too, including a homemade Dole Whip, a coffee smoothie bowl, and vegan peanut butter gelato. Those recipes prove that dairy-free Ninja Creami treats do not have to be limited to icy fruit sorbets.

Top Tips

  1. Freeze the pint for a full 24 hours. The base needs to be frozen solid before it goes into the Ninja Creami.
  2. Use the setting listed in the individual recipe. Sorbet, smoothie bowl, and gelato recipes are not always processed on the same program.
  3. Check every packaged ingredient. Chocolate chips, candy, creamer, and cream of coconut are not automatically dairy-free just because the base is.
  4. Keep canned fruit with its juice or syrup. The liquid in the can is part of the recipe and helps the fruit process properly.
  5. Do not automatically add liquid to an icy pint. A dry, crumbly pint may benefit from a small splash before a re-spin, but extra liquid can make an icy texture worse.

Ninja Creami Peach Sorbet
